“The Wire” Actor Michael K. Williams Discovered Dead In NYC Apartment
#Socialites join us in sending our condolences to the loved ones of beloved actor Michael K. Williams who was reportedly found dead in his Brooklyn apartment on Monday afternoon. The 54-year-old actor was discovered by his nephew who went to check up on him.
According to the NY Post, police confirmed the news to the outlet after discovering his body on Monday. The actor was best known for his role on “The Wire,” and “Boardwalk Empire.”
“It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Emmy-nominated actor Michael Kenneth Williams,” his rep Marianna Shafran said in a statement. “They ask for your privacy while grieving this unsurmountable loss.”

Williams was a celebrated talent, who notably appeared in as Montrose Freeman HBO’s Lovecraft Country, for which he received a 2021 Emmy nomination. He also played Omar Little in The Wire and Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire.
