The Weeknd was reportedly in talks with Grammy execs to perform on the stage for several weeks and was expected to make them a main priority. As reported by TMZ, the singer decided to commit to both events and the decision may have affected his chance at several nominations for the album “After Hours.”
Sources close to him claim that the decision might have angered Grammy officials although both events will be screened on CBS within a week from each other. Earlier today, The Weeknd called out the Grammys on Twitter and said they owed transparency to him and fans.
