The Supremes Co-Founder Mary Wilson Dies At Age 76
Socialites, it is with our deepest regret to inform you that Mary Wilson, a founding member of The Supremes, has died at the age of 76.

According to Reuters, Wilson’s publicist said she died suddenly at her Las Vegas home on Monday. A cause of death was not included in the statement.
Wilson, Diana Ross, and Florence Ballard made up the first successful configuration of The Supreme Motown group, which had hits including “Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” “You Can’t Hurry Love and Stop! In The Name Of Love.” Motown founder Berry Gordy released a statement on the news saying, “I was extremely shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of a major member of the Motown family, Mary Wilson of The Supremes,” he said. “The Supremes were always known as the ‘sweethearts of Motown’” Berry said to Variety. Ross also shares a tweet about her passing this Tuesday morning:
“I just woke up to this news, my condolences to you Mary’s family, I am reminded that each day is a gift, I have so many wonderful memories of our time together “The Supremes ” will live on, in our hearts 💕”
Wilson is survived by her sister Kathryn; her brother, Roosevelt; her adopted son/cousin Willie and grandchildren (Erica (great granddaughter, Lori), Vanessa, Angela).
