In the latest episode of “The Kardashians,” which aired on Thursday, the family prepared for the verdict amid their court case against Blac Chyna. As previously reported, Chyna, who had accused the clan of sabotaging her lucrative deal with E! for a second series of “Rob & Chyna,” ended up losing the case in May.

During the episode, the Kardashians couldn’t hide their anxiousness as they waited for the verdict to come in while preparing for the Met Gala in New York. It’s Kim Kardashian who later notifies the family that a decision had been made at the Los Angeles courthouse, leading sister Khloe to hyperventilate. When the latter’s phone started to ring, Khloe picks up, only to be met with positive news from Kris and Corey Gamble, who burst out, cheering, “We won!”

In her confessional scene, the momager appeared to be overcome with emotions while repeatedly mentioning how she had been praying to God for a positive outcome because she’d seen cases in the past that had gone “really wrong,” adding that “it’s a really scary position to be in.” She continued, “I am so thrilled. Thank you, Lord. I’ve never prayed so hard in my life. I’m happy for Rob. I’m happy for my girls. I’m happy we can put this chapter of our lives behind us and move on to more joyful things in life.”

The entire family was nervous about the verdict before Kris broke the good news to them, but things didn’t end there, because even though they were finally able to bring an end to the five-year-long lawsuit, the Kardashians weren’t done with Blac Chyna just yet.

Kim, in particular, was very vocal in telling her siblings that they should sue her back for the costly attorney’s fees that piled up before and during the trial, which they ended up doing. It was revealed in June, a month after the Met Gala, that the Kardashians had indeed filed legal documents to have Chyna cover their $390,000 in fees.

“This was the best lesson in law school because you never know what a jury will really say,” Kim expressed. “It’s a jury and we had the truth on our side and I feel so good. I don’t want to cry right now. I really can’t ruin this makeup but seriously… oh my god.”
