HU Founder Jason Lee returned with episode four of REVOLT’s “The Jason Lee Show,” with Luenell and Claudia Jordan joining him as his latest guests this week. In what has been the longest episode from the first season so far, Luenell and Jordan were clearly not holding back as they touched on a variety of hard-hitting topics, including being kissed by former President Donald Trump, and Jordan candidly discussing the possibility of a return to “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
At the beginning of the interview, Lee wasted no time quizzing Luenell about her comedy content as she told him she refuses to make any jokes about Kanye West, despite his attention-grabbing ways these past few months in the press. “It’s not interesting to my demographic,” the comedian said, explaining why her fans won’t ever see her make witty remarks about West during her stand-up shows.
“He has other people to give him platforms, he just doesn’t have mine — it’s not important to me,” she continued, which strongly indicated Luenell was not backing West nor his actions in recent months. And as she already mentioned, though she refuses to make the rapper a talking point in her comedy shows, Luenell stresses that her choosing not to talk about him doesn’t necessarily have to apply to others who are keen to speak with Ye.
When asked whether she was concerned whether there could be a possibility that West would end up becoming the President of the United States following his announcement last year that he’d be running for the role in 2024, Luenell laughed as she sipped on her beverage.
Jordan interjected, sharing that she doesn’t think Ye would reach the White House, to which Lee responded, “You said the same thing when Trump ran, and that was your boy. Until he tried to sleep with you.” Jordan gleefully corrected Lee, insisting he was just trying to “kiss” her.
“I didn’t kiss Trump, but Trump kissed me,” the reality star clarified. “He has a house in Beverly Hills […] and said they were having a party over there. So, I was going to meet my girl and stop by, say, ‘What’s up?’ Cos that’s when I was friends with him. He put me on a bunch of shows.”
“I stopped by… there’s like nobody there. Like, three people. That little trick that they be doing, ‘Oh we’re having a party.’ Jordan said that while Trump was “acting” like he was waiting for people to arrive for the event, he asked Jordan if she wanted a tour of the house. He eventually showed her a bedroom which made her hesitate to walk in, fully aware at this point Trump ay have allegedly been looking for more than just providing Jordan with a tour of his property.
Elsewhere, in Season 7, Jordan joined the cast of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” but after just one run, it was revealed that she wouldn’t be returning for the eighth series. Lee opened up the discussion by asking whether Jordan felt that being on the TV show may have been a bad look for her, even though a lot of fans have said they would want her to make a comeback.
“I wasn’t aware that I was showing up to really figure it out and you’re showing up to just get a scene,” Jordan said of the run-ins she would have with cast members on the Bravo franchise.”
“I was cool with Nene and Porsha before I got on the show […] I was cool with Nene, she reached out in 2009; she wanted me to host something for her and take her place on something. We were cordial, so I didn’t understand when I got on the show there was so much hostility and y’all acting like y’all don’t know me.”
