However, she still wants to get married again, she’s just taking her time moving forward. She also says she wants her husband to have his own kids.

She also says an older Cuban lady also told her not to date Leo men. Lozada says the woman read her birth chart and said to steer clear of Leos, which has been hard for her seeing as her father is a Leo, along with her first husband Chad Johnson, and her son’s father Carl Crawford.

While speaking on her controversial marriage with former NFL star Chad Johnson, Evelyn Lozada tells host Jason Lee that she ignored all of the flags thrown on the play. She says her close friend of over 20 years and ‘Basketball Wives‘ co-star Jennifer Williams always knew Johnson wasn’t good for her, even calling him a “media wh*re.”

Lozada says Williams always warned her about Johnson, but at the time she never saw the signs; but now, she gets it. Lozada says during the relationship when times were great, they were great, and when things were bad, it was next level. Lozada also talks about her beef with Stephen A. Smith, who she claims talked the most sh*t about her relationship drama. She admits that he was so negative and she always felt so small.

On her relationship with former MLB star Carl Crawford, Evelyn Lozada talks about getting engaged and having her son, Carl Leo Crawford, Jr., who will be 10 years old in March. Lozada says she and Crawford have a good co-parenting relationship and that they have never had any issues in court. She admits the two broke off the engagement over infidelity on Crawford’s part.

Lozada says Crawford wasn’t in another relationship, he was just having a good time. Lozada tells Lee that when she questioned Crawford about stepping out, he would never deny it and would just apologize. She also admits that she was in denial for a long time, especially since they were planning a wedding and trying to have a child through IVF (in-vitro fertilization), following multiple miscarriages.

Lozada also briefly shares what she knows about Crawford’s legal issues with rapper Megan Thee Stallion, whom he signed to his record1501 Certified Entertainment. Lozada says baseball player Carl was very different from record label CEO Carl. On Carl Crawford’s legal troubles with Megan, Lozada says she doesn’t know the particular ins and outs, but knows that he put a lot of time and money into the label, and helped break Megan. She says she ultimately hopes things will be over soon since it’s been an ongoing fight.

The ‘Basketball Wives LA‘ star also talks about her 10-year relationship with former NBA player Antoine Walker. She says he cheated on her thousands of times, but she kept forgiving him and trying to fix things out of love. She says now she no longer has that kind of time and is using that relationship to teach her daughter Shaniece Hairston, 30, to always have your own things and be independent. Lozada claims she gave up working while with Walker and whenever things went bad, he would take luxuries away from her or cut off her cards. She says the control he had over her stressed her out.

Speaking of her children, Evelyn Lozada opens up to Jason Lee about juggling motherhood, reality TV, and her businesses; and also shares some of her motherhood fears. Lozada says her son Leo is a huge sports kid and has followed in his father’s footsteps with baseball. She also shares that one of her fears with raising Leo is knowing that he’s a young Black boy in America. However, she does her best to keep him safe and informed.

Meanwhile, with her 30-year-old daughter Shaniece, Lozada says she fears for her safety as well. Although she doesn’t do a lot of clubbing and partying, Lozada says she’s always awaiting her daughter’s messages and asking for her locations. Lozada views herself as a great mother and says the greatest compliment she could ever receive is to be acknowledged for being a terrific mom with great kids.

Jumping into her career on ‘Basketball Wives: LA,’ Lozada opens up about leaving the show and finally returning for this latest season. She says she initially left because she needed a reset, it was becoming too much to handle. However, Lozada says she returned because she feels like ‘BBW‘ is her baby and that without her, the show won’t be successful.

Speaking with Jason Lee on all of her various beefs on ‘BBWLA,’ Evelyn Lozada recalls her past issues with OG Chijindu (full name Ogom Chijindu), including OG’s colorism and racism claims against Lozada. The ‘Basketball Wives‘ star says her biggest takeaway from the beef was that no matter what she says, people will always have the same experiences with her. She says she never said anything racist and doesn’t consider herself a racist. She admits she may say some “crazy sh*t,” but she’s from the Bronx, New York, she doesn’t mean any harm.

Lozada also gets into her beef with Vanessa Rider on this season’s ‘BBWLA.’ She says Rider accused her of being a sidechick to her ex-fiancé Carl Crawford and ran with the claim as her storyline. For a good chunk of the season, Lozada faced claims of being a homewrecker, which she says isn’t true. She admits because of her beef with Rider, her relationship with Crawford’s ex, Amy Freeman, has now been strained. She says the two would regularly talk and have play dates with their children.

Lozada says she never wanted to talk about Carl Crawford or Amy Freeman, but VH1 producers pushed her. She also admits that she didn’t put her hands on anyone this season, but she did snatch a wig and was surprised when it came off because she didn’t think it was a wig. Lozada says she “never starts sh*t” on the show, she just finishes it.

Lozada also speaks on another ‘BBWLA‘ newcomer, Brittany Renner. She even admits that Renner’s interview with Jason Lee, which was filmed and aired before the ‘BBWLA‘ reunion, was brought up during taping. She says she can’t speak too much on the reunion, which has yet to air, but calls out Renner for talking a lot of sh*t about the cast and making a lot of opinions, but not dropping any names. On Renner’s claims of the cast being “Mean Girls,” Lozada says no one was mean to her.

The ‘Basketball Wives‘ star further admits that she was genuinely surprised at Renner’s untruthful comments, especially since she gave her a warm welcome on the show. She says she was happy to have her on and wanted her to have an amazing experience. She would even leave her voicemails and tell her she would watch her young son so she could go hike or catch a mommy break.

Lozada also spills the tea and says Renner was the first person to throw a drink during this season of ‘BBWLA.’ However, she says the cut didn’t make it to air. She also shares that Renner had a laundry list of unprofessional moments. Lozada says before Renner left the show early and unfollowed all of the girls, she and Shaunie O’Neal, the creator and executive producer of the show, were scheduled to have in-person meetings with Renner, but she would never show, forcing them to conduct filming via FaceTime calls. Lozada also says Renner would hardly show up to film her confessionals, but at least she showed up for the reunion.

Lozada also shares more about the contestant she ended up getting engaged to, Lavon Lewis. She says while most of the other guys wanted to promote their brands, he was calm and gentle, which won her over. Ultimately, things didn’t work out.

Lozada also gets into the recent drama surrounding her co-star Tamar Braxton and the contestant she got engaged to, Jeremy Robinson, aka JR. Lozada says Braxton made the entire experience so much fun for her and that she also co-signed her and JR’s relationship from the beginning. However, Lozada doesn’t have too much to say about their recent issues plastered on social media. She notes she just wants her to be happy and not be in any type of toxic relationship. She also admits that she, herself, will never go on reality TV to date again.
