Award-winning triple threat Omarion stops by ‘The Jason Lee Show,’ and puts it all on the table. Sitting with host Jason Lee, O opens up about past issues in their friendship, his relationship with his children’s mother Apryl Jones, and how he forgave her and his B2K bandmate Lil Fizz for betraying him and dating behind his back.

In addition to talking about everything from growing up in the industry, new power moves, exploring his sexuality with polyamory, and even revealing which B2K bandmate is the real problem child of the group, Omarion also reveals how he keeps his cool using meditation, trying psychedelics, and revealing how he even died while on Ayahuasca. Before show end, he reveals his celebrity crushes, like Chrisean Rock and more.

O talks about turning to meditation and psychedelics instead of clapping back at the people who do him wrong, trolls, haters, etc. He notes how people like to villainize him, claiming they only do it to feel better about themselves. However, by taking medicinal mushrooms, he’s become more in tune with himself.

As the interview opens, Omarion reflects on his upbringing in Los Angeles, coming from a family wrapped up in gang life, but having several performing arts programs to attend and keep him out of the streets. O also talks about his brother, singer O’Ryan, and how he’s been blessed from birth with a lifelong best friend. O then talks about their father not being around much, and having to rely on each other when growing up and becoming men.

From there, host Jason Lee confronts Omarion about cutting him off after years of hanging out and being friends. While opening up to each other about the differences in opinions at the time, the two realize there was never a real beef, just boundaries being set and not fully communicating.

Lee also reveals that O was the first celebrity to pull him aside and ask if he was gay. They continue reflecting on their past, noting how they had a real friendship, and how Lee used to hang out with O and Chris Brown, and even tried to hook O up with Karrueche Tran. They reflected on Lee showing up to a party with the singers and bringing a bunch of girls, with Tran being one of them.

That night Tran met both O and Brown for the first time, and eventually, she ended up seriously dating Brown for a few years. Lee and O also talk about the comparisons drawn between O and Brown, leaving him to give Brown his flowers as a fellow super-talented individual.

O then opens up about past situationships he’s had, noting how they could’ve turned into something more. However, now, O admits that he’s into polyamory and wants to date more than one woman at a time. He admits that he’s already tried it, but hasn’t gotten to the stage where the two (or more) women live with him in the same home as him. O admits in these types of relationships, the man has to be double the man to handle the two women.

Omarion also talks about his new series on ALLBLK, which is about the sexuality type and is called ‘Involved.’

Speaking on relationships, O also opens up about his past with the mother of his two children (Megaa, 9, and A’mei, 7) Apryl Jones. First speaking on joining ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,’ O reveals that what he was pitched about the show was the complete opposite of what it turned out to be, and how hard it was to reveal his personal life for millions to see.

He admits that he didn’t like the production process of filming and then waiting months for the episode to air, forcing him to relive moments he’d already gotten over and forgotten. He also admits that he saw his children’s mother change up for the show.

He says she once had the most power over him and his emotions and that although they didn’t work out as a couple, they are now better as friends. Speaking on his book, ‘Unbothered: The Power of Choosing Joy,’ O says his relationship with Jones helped him be able to write his memoir, and that they now have a healthy co-parenting relationship, where they are respectful to each other.

However, as we all know, things did not begin that way and it has been a long journey to get to where they are now. As we all know, after Omarion and Apryl Jones split, she ended up dating his B2K bandmate, Lil Fizz. O says he tried his best to remain unbothered by the betrayal done to him, but he tells Lee that it was one of the hardest things he’s ever had to endure, noting how it damaged his and Jones’ relationship, especially as co-parents.

He says both Jones and Lil Fizz have since apologized to him and everyone has moved on. He then talks about his thoughts about Jones moving on with Award-winning actor Taye Diggs, and how their relationship has seen his son Megaa becoming super vocal online, and sometimes getting a bit disrespectful.

Because of this, O says he doesn’t want his kids on social media like that and wants to keep their innocence intact for as long as possible, since it’s so sacred. Before transitioning from talks about his children’s mother, Jason Lee apologizes to Omarion for hiring Apryl Jones for his now-defunct podcast ‘Hollywood Unlocked Uncensored.’ They note how the platform became a place for her to talk down on O.

Switching gears to B2K, comprised of O, Lil Fizz, J Boog, and Raz B, O talks about the Millennium Tour and how hard it was for him to do. He notes how the tour brought him back to self-recognition, and realizing that he never really had a chance to grow up “normal.” He also notes how B2K was the biggest and last boy band of its kind.

O also points out which bandmate he believes is the problem child of the group. When Lee asks if it’s Raz, the singer says, “No.” When asked if it’s Boog, O agrees. However, he notes that he wishes Boog all the best. Speaking on Raz’s molestation allegations against his cousin and the group’s manager Chris Stokes, Omarion refuses to speak on the claims but notes that we’ve all heard what people say.

Before interview end, O talks about 3LW singer Kiely Williams claiming she smashed all the boys of B2K, except Omarion. He admits he never knew thought and that he thought she “was cute.” And during a game of “Smash or Pass,” O admits he’d #SmashOrPass on Ari Lennox, Khloe Kardashian, Chloe Bailey, Nia Long, Latto, and Chrisean Rock.
