The Game Denies Using Nipsey Hussle’s Death For New Merch
After his merch collection sells out, The Game is setting the record straight on his idea to put “prolific” on the forefront.
Rapper The Game just released his highly anticipated Prolific Records merch but found himself having to set the record straight on its relationship with Nipsey Hussle’s legacy!
Many know that the slain rapper had the word “Prolific” tattooed on his face, so when fans see Game, a close friend to Nip use the word, they came at him quick. One fan tweeted;
“The Game is really doing his best to profit off of Nipsey Hussle lol he’s sick. Even Nips friends are mad about it”
But according to Game, the fans have it all wrong. The Los Angeles rapper says that he purposely did not use Nipsey’s face for any of the marketing to avoid this situation that he is in. He also shared that he got the blessing from the late rappers brother Blacc Sam.
In a pretty long message posted to his Instagram story, Game said;
“The use of the world ‘Prolific’ by myself is the only way of helping to carry on my bro’s legacy,” he wrote. “Any merch that has been sold has my face on it, my albums is all pictures, logos etc are related to THE GAME. Out of love for Nip, Blacc Sam and his immediate family etc. I purposely did not include any pics of Nip nor his likeness & directed all traffic to @themarathonclothing as I’ve done since bro’s passing. I’ve spoken closely to ‘Blacc Sam’ every step of the way & have had his blessing with things I’ve done to help honor bro’s name and continue his legacy.”
There is no question that The Game loved Nipsey like a brother. For weeks following his death, the Los Angeles native posted a picture of Nip every day to his Instagram even sharing words of mourning!
