The Game Clarifies Recent Eminem & Dr. Dre Controversy, But Still Asks: ‘What Rapper Is Better Than Me?’
As we previously shared, The Game has sent the internet into shambles after his recent ‘Drink Champs’ interview — where he’s gone viral for his comments about Kanye West doing more for him than Dr. Dre, and being a better rapper than Eminem. On Saturday (Mar. 5), after we reposted his claims and subsequent Instagram bio update — where he claimed to be “Undefeated Best Rapper Alive” — Game jumped into Hollywood Unlocked‘s IG comments and continued to double down on all the controversy.
On Sunday (Mar. 6), Game went live and again doubled down on his best rapper alive claim, but also further clarified his Eminem and Dr. Dre comments from his viral interview. Beginning his live, Game explains how his new album came about and rehashes his viral interview. He then clarifies his trending Eminem soundbite, “I see it. I feel you. If you like Eminem is better than me, that’s your opinion. But, it’s a lot of people that feel like I’m better than Eminem, and that’s they opinion. Me personally, is Eminem better than me? Na, he not bro. And I think the best way to see if he is or if I am is..sh*t n***a let’s rap about it. Let’s link up at the studio, let’s rap about it. Let’s put something out and see. That’s what it is. It’s rap.”
Game continues to say that he hasn’t even shown the public his truest and fullest lyrical potential, he’s just been “skilled enough” to do this long and be successful. He adds, “But, as far as some real lyricism, real Hip-Hop … y’all n**as be having me f***ed up .. it’s like who … what rapper is better than me? Even if a rapper was better than me, why the f**k would I ever say that another man is better than me in anything in life? I’m out here striving to be the best new me that I can possibly be. The best rapper. The best father. The best friend. The most obedient to the Lord. N***as ain’t better than me in sh*t. You ain’t getting that off.”

Speaking on how other media outlets are reporting on his comments he adds, “They ain’t put the other sh*t in there. I also gave him his props on the same accord. But, as far as being better than me..na. Eminem is not better than me. I’m better than him. I said it again, and I’ll keep saying it again bro.” He says the fans can go tell Em what he said, “But, when it’s time to get in front of the mic, I’mma air n***as out every time.”
