The Combs twins are officially growing up and stepping into their own light. Jessie and D’Lila Combs, the 19-year-old daughters of the late, beautiful Kim Porter and Sean “Diddy” Combs, are making major moves and showing the world they are much more than just a famous last name.

Facing the public eye for the first time since their father was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison following his high profile trial, the duo sat down for an exclusive chat with ET’s Nischelle Turner to clarify one thing: they are building their own legacy, period!

Instead of letting the heavy cloud surrounding their family name hold them back, the sisters are channeling their energy straight into entrepreneurship with the drop of their brand-new unisex streetwear line, 12TWINTY1. Their debut “777 Collection” features heavyweight hoodies, sweatpants, and tees ranging from $34 to $119, heavily inspired by the matching styles they’ve been rocking since they were toddlers.

Naturally, the conversation turned to the elephant in the room, the intense media scrutiny following their father’s legal troubles. But the twins stood ten toes down, making it clear that they aren’t letting outside noise derail their hustle. D’Lila completely shut down any idea of fear regarding putting themselves out there, explaining that their paths are completely independent.

“Because people fail to realize that like, just because he’s our dad doesn’t mean like, his press is his own press. Our press is our own press,” she asserted. “Our clothing line is our clothing line. It’s not his clothing line… Like, people fail to understand that we are also individuals.”

Despite Diddy currently serving his time at FCI Fort Dix, the twins revealed that their bond with him remains locked in, noting that their relationship today is “great” and they remain very close.

Jessie shared that they still lean on him for business wisdom, calling him highly knowledgeable and noting that he gives the best advice. According to the twins, the Bad Boy mogul always instilled a serious work ethic in them, consistently reminding them that nothing is given. “Success won’t be like handed to you,” D’Lila recalled him saying. “Like, don’t expect you to go like this and success will come. Like you have to put in the work, you have to put in the time.”

The launch has truly been a full family affair, proving the siblings are staying locked in through thick and thin. Their older brothers Quincy, Justin, and King all pulled up to model the cozy blue, black, and white sweatsuits for the campaign shoot, with Quincy taking to social media to shout out his sisters’ heavy grinding.

Even from behind bars, Diddy shared through a statement how “incredibly proud” he is of his girls for turning a lifelong dream into an authentic business. With their high school days behind them and a clear vision for the future, Jessie and D’Lila are proving they are fully ready to command their own spotlight as young Black entrepreneurs.
