Amazon Prime Is giving viewers a look into the 1950’s Compton streets as a black family moesin and experiences the unthinkable.

This limited anthology series explores terror that the Emory family played by Deborah Ayorinde, Ashley Thomas, Shahadi Wright Joseph, and Melody Hurd, endured at the hands of their white neighbors led by Alison Pill’s character.

While this story is a thriller fueled by the stories of racism, the storyline also features threats from otherworldly beings.

Finding some comfort in Anika Noni Rose’s character, Lucky played by Ayorinde gets a look into how the first black family in the neighborhood suffered.

This series features a tag team of executive producers in Little Marvin and Lena Waithe.
