Rob Savage’s new film ‘The Boogeyman’ based on the novel by Stephen King does not disappoint and is a horror fanatics dream come true.

The film follows Therapist Will Harper (Chris Messina) and his two daughters Sadie(Sophie Thatcher) and Sawyer ( Vivien Lyra Blair), who reeling from the loss of their mother, are thrown into more tragedy when a strange patient mysteriously arrives to their home, bringing with himself an evil entity that hooks on to the girls and reeks havoc.

What is terribly frightening about Savage’s film is that you don’t even have to see the Boogeyman to be in sheer terror, cleverly done cinematic techniques build up the entity before we even see what it looks like, and while speaking to Savage he let us know that the Boogeyman can really be anything we deal with in our day to day lives and in order to overcome it we need each other’s support.

We also spoke with Chris Messina (Air) and Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) on what their Boogeyman was growing up and if they felt the pressure being part of  Stephen King legendary stories!

Press play above for the full interview and watch The Boogeyman in theaters June 2, just don’t see it alone!
