Orlando Brown is headed to trial soon but first, he’ll be getting a mental evaluation to see if he’s fit to cooperate in court.

According to legal docs obtained by @tmz_tv, the former actor’s attorney made the request for him to get evaluated. As it was previously reported, Orlando has been charged with aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor in Ohio, for his December arrest. He pled not guilty, however, the results of the evaluation could lead to Orlando changing that plea.

Orlando was arrested back in December after cops in Ohio responded to a call about a fight between two men. At the time, the alleged victim told officers that Orlando charged at him while wielding a knife blade and hammer during an argument. Orlando was never able to physically strike him with the weapons and eventually set them down. When cops arrived, they came upon the former Disney star and arrested him for misdemeanor domestic violence.
