#ThankYouChadwick: Fans Continue To Show Appreciation For Chadwick Boseman Following His Passing

Fans, family, and close friends are currently mourning the loss of beloved actor Chadwick Boseman, who sadly passed away on Friday. As we previously reported, the “Black Panther” star died after a four-year-long battle with colon cancer.

Following the news, many immediately took social media to express shock and grief but also gratitude for the late star. As some highlighted that personal battles are often hidden, it made others appreciate Boseman even more as they realized he delivered a handful of projects while he was struggling with his health at the same time.

Fans thanked him for bringing great films to our screens including, “Civil War,” “Marshall,” the incredible “Black Panther,” “Infinity War,” “Endgame,” “21 Bridges” and “Da 5 Bloods. Bernice King tweeted, “We never know what people are enduring. Humans…we are wonders. Thank you, Chadwick, for gifting us with your greatness in the midst of a painful struggle.” A fans also tweeted, “For a man who was battling stage 4 cancer, Chadwick Boseman always had a smile on his face. He was always giving happiness anywhere he goes. Thank you for giving us Black Panther. Thank you for being the hero we need. Wakanda Forever❤”

Chadwick died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. ⁣”The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time,” the statement read.

It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.⁣ ⁣ Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. ⁣ ⁣ A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. ⁣ It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. ⁣He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. ⁣ ⁣ The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. ⁣ ⁣ Photo Credit: @samjonespictures
