Texas Woman Arrested After Setting Bible On Fire In Backyard
A San Antonio, Texas woman has been arrested after setting a bible on fire in her backyard, which caused her home to catch fire, along with her neighbor’s home.
On Sunday (Mar. 7), the San Antonio Fire Department arrived to the scene around 7:30 a.m. On arrival, witnesses say the fire began after the unnamed woman burned a bible in her own backyard. However, the flames soon spread to her home and a neighbor’s back wall. It’s estimated that the fire caused $150,000 in damages.

Fortunately, nobody was injured. Coupled with ruining her neighbors home, the fire also led to the neighbors losing their medication to the fire and temporarily moving their five dogs to an animal shelter until they can find a place to live. While charges have yet to be filed against the woman, she was still taken into custody.
John Bailey, the woman’s neighbor, says, “I ran out, tried to use my water hose to kind of spread it off and make sure it didn’t get to my sister’s house. The lady came and knocked on the door banged on the doors and says, oh, fire it’s on fire. Hopefully we can go and stay with relatives.”
