The Killeen ISD said in a statement that they were disturbed by the teacher’s assignment as it contained obscene words such as b*tch, r*tard, ugly, idiot, n*****, stupid, fat, and crackhead. Next to the words were the definitions and it asked the student to draw a line to match the word to each definition. Additional worksheets also contained the offensive words where one assignment asked students to color by the word. Local reports said the assignments were created for seventh-grade inclusion students and the teacher was hired on August 15,2022.
“Killeen ISD immediately launched an investigation upon learning of an appalling and extremely disturbing assignment distributed by a now-former Rancier Middle School teacher. There is no argument to condone such an offensive gesture, and we deeply regret the assignment was ever created and distributed to even a small group of students,” said district superintendent Dr. John Craft on Thursday,

The district said the school employee was hired on August 15,2022 and the assignment was dated on January 11. After parents learned about the disturbing class work, they went on social media to expose the teacher and confirmed that the teacher was fired from the middle school.
“After a lot of hate from the community, the news finally confirmed the photos and printed an article in response to the papers. I wasn’t looking for confirmation or praise from anyone, seriously just wanted other parents to know that this happened here in our school district…let’s be proactive and stop this!“
Other sources said the school’s population consists of Black and hispanic students which made the homework assignments appear more insensitive as microaggressions were used in its content.
