Texas Man Freezes to Death In Recliner Chair

A Texas man is reported to have frozen to death in his recliner chair at his home. Currently, Texas is experiencing sub-zero temperatures and one of the coldest storms in 30 years.

According to Newsweek, the man was found dead in his recliner with his wife next to him, who was also barely holding on to life.

The couple was discovered at a home in Abilene on Wednesday after they had been without power and heat for hours.

“Please go check on your neighbors,” Abilene resident Josh Casey wrote on Facebook on Thursday. “A man froze to death in his recliner yesterday. His wife was beside him nearly dead. She is in the hospital still in peril. They had no power.”

The temperature in the couple’s home was reported to have been the same as outside. There have been multiple other deaths as 211,000 power outages were reported by Texas on Friday morning. The state is experiencing some of the lowest temperatures in 30 years!
