He claimed the state will work relentlessly to capture all rapists by “aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets.” Gov. Abbott added that the plan is to completely eliminate all rapists so no one will become victims of the crime in order to prevent abortions. “So goal No. 1 in the state of Texas is to eliminate rape so that no woman, no person, will be a victim of it,” he said.

The six-week abortion ban became effective on Sept. 1 and the new law has no exceptions for rape or incest.

The law also allows citizens to file civil lawsuits against abortion providers and people who “aid or abet” abortion for damages up to $10,000 as reported by Insider.  Additionally, it has caused national outcry among the country despite the Supreme Court officially confirming the new law.
