Texas Father Of 5 Fatally Shot After Confronting Parents Of His Daughter’s Male Bully
Brandon Curtis, a 35-year-old Humble, Texas father of 5, was fatally shot after confronting the parents of his daughter’s male bully. The teenage boy had allegedly been bullying the 15-year-old girl online for nine months. Prior to the confrontation, it’s reported that Curtis had a conversation with the teen’s father, but nothing came of it.
Curtis’ wife, Shantal Harris recalls, “When he left from here, my husband went to go resolve the issue. He wanted to go speak to the parent.” However, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez believes Curtis allegedly took his daughter to fight the teenage boy. But Harris says that wasn’t the case, “I know my husband. My husband is not like that.” Supporting Harris, her sister-in-law Jeran Perkins adds, “My brother would never put a hand on a child. We want justice.”
Speaking on the incident, investigators claim a 20-year-old man said Curtis hit his teen brother, leading him to retrieve a gun in order to “protect” him. The man proceeded to shoot Curtis multiple times, leaving him to die at the scene. The shooter has yet to be charged, but the case is expected to be presented to a grand jury.
