The video shows Yailin repeatedly striking Tekashi with a 2×4 before being taken into custody. During the investigation, Yailin revealed to the police that she believed Tekashi was withholding her money and passport, which caused her distress. Based on the video evidence and the statements provided by both parties, the police had sufficient probable cause to arrest Yailin on multiple felony charges. She was taken into custody and subsequently transported to central jail.
