News of 6ix9ine‘s brutal beatdown at a Florida gym on Tuesday has sparked quite the conversation on social media, with some people saying they felt sympathetic for the rapper after video footage of the incident began to surface online.
As we previously reported, the New Yorker was in the sauna of an LA Fitness gym when a group of guys ambushed him by throwing multiple punches and kicks to his head. 6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, said that there were about four men responsible for the beatdown which was recorded and posted to social media minutes after it happened. The suspects are said to have fled the scene as 6ix9ine, who was knocked to the floor during the incident, tried to regain his balance and leave the facility.

He was later taken to a nearby hospital to treat his gruesome injuries which were mostly on his face, with South Florida police now launching a thorough investigation in hopes that they can track down those responsible for the crime.
And, of course, once the video made its way onto the internet, people were bound to share their reactions to the clip of 6ix9ine being attacked — and while some felt sorry for the New Yorker, given that he was jumped by four individuals, others felt he deserved the whooping for his trolling behavior in the past.
“Internet spent years fantasy booking harm on 6ix9ine just to call someone lame for actually doing it,” one person wrote, confused by the comments of those condemning 6ix9ine being attacked at the gym. Others said they were “glad” the rapper was beaten considering his comments about deceased rappers, including King Von, as well as the jokes he made about Lil Tjay getting shot last year.
Another social media user wrote, “Honestly I feel bad for 6ix9ine. He had so much sh*t that happened to him at a young age which led him to future bad decisions.
“He has a broken heart and lost soul and no one ever tried to help him. He’s only mending the wounds now. Sad to see.”
“Would feel bad for 6ix9ine but I remember he didn’t invite me to that dinner where he gifted everyone Birkins,” another person wrote as the debate on whether 6ix9ine deserved to be assaulted continued.

It’s unclear at this point whether the “ZAZA” artist plans on taking legal action once the investigation has been completed, but judging that several people in the video can be clearly identified, it’s fair to assume that police will definitely find at least two of the men that were involved in the fight.
6ix9ine has yet to share an update on his current condition as he continues to recover at the hospital.
