A 15-year-old boy has died after a high-pressure air hose was inserted into his body in what authorities have described as a “workplace prank.”

According to PEOPLE, the victim, Muhammed Kendrici, was injured on November 14 at a carpentry workshop in the Bozova district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. Kendrici reportedly suffered severe internal organ damage and received medical treatment for five days before succumbing to his injuries. Authorities said Kendrici was allegedly restrained with his hands tied by another apprentice and a third individual before the violent act took place.

Officials identified one of the suspects as Habip Aksoy, another apprentice at the workshop. Police say Aksoy and the second suspect allegedly forced Kendrici’s pants down before inserting a compressed air hose into his body, resulting in catastrophic internal injuries.
