Kim Kardashian just got real in a way fans don’t usually see. In a sneak peek from Season 7 of The Kardashians on Hulu, the 45-year-old mogul gets super real about a major health scare.

In the clip, cameras catch Kim in a hospital setting, going through an MRI. Later, sitting with her family, she breaks down the results: “There was a little aneurysm.”

According to Kim, her doctors told her it all came down to one word: “[The doctors] were like, ‘Just stress.’”

For context, the Mayo Clinic describes a brain aneurysm as “a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain.” When one bursts, it can cause bleeding in the brain — a life-threatening stroke. While most aneurysms don’t rupture, the diagnosis is still scary, especially for someone constantly under public pressure.

After the medical reveal, Kim opened up even more — this time about her high-profile divorce from Kanye “Ye” West.

“People think that I have the luxury of just walking away. I’m happy it’s over,” Kim shared through tears. “My ex will be in my life no matter what. We have four kids together.”

Kim and Ye’s marriage was one for the books — from lavish fashion moments to very public drama. The two married in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2022. But behind the glam, her sister Khloé Kardashian says Kim was hurting long before the cameras caught on.

Back in 2021, Khloé opened up on Keeping Up with the Kardashians about what her sister was going through: “Kim has been struggling privately behind camera about her relationship and it’s tough because Kim is clearly redirecting so much of her frustration and sadness and anger,” she said. “Sometimes you just take things out on something that has nothing to do with what you’re going through.”

And Khloé didn’t stop there — she gave her big sis her flowers too: “Kim is one of the most incredible human beings literally ever, and she tries to protect their union at all costs, but it’s hard when you carry that responsibility on your shoulders and I just want her to take care of herself, too.”

Now, with this new diagnosis, Kim seems to be doing just that — slowing down, checking in with herself, and facing some hard truths about how stress can show up in your body.

Season 7 of The Kardashians dropped October 23 on Hulu, and if this preview is any sign, it’s about to be one of their most emotional seasons yet.
