#Socialites, do you remember former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal? She first sparked controversy in 2015 when she told the internet that she identified as Black despite being the daughter of two white parents. Well, she’s since changed her name to Nkechi Diallo, became a teacher, and apparently an OnlyFans model too, which has now cost her her day job.

In June 2015, the former NAACP official went super viral, facing accusations of lying about her race. Nkechi Diallo, who was then known as Rachel Dolezal, told everyone that she was Black. However, her white mother and father, identified as Ruthanne and Larry Dolezal, quickly outed her to local media. They told Spokane, Washington outlet Spokesman-Review that their daughter started to “disguise herself” after her family adopted four Black children.

Ruthanne, who was estranged from her daughter at the time, said, “It’s very sad that Rachel has not just been herself. Her effectiveness in the causes of the African-American community would have been so much more viable, and she would have been more effective if she had just been honest with everybody.”

Despite her criticism online and her parents confirming the accusations, Nkechi Diallo vehemently denied everything and told the same outlet who spoke with her parents that the question was “not as easy as it seems.” She added, “There’s a lot of complexities … and I don’t know that everyone would understand that. We’re all from the African continent.”

Additionally, her father Larry told The Washington Post, “Unfortunately, she is not ethnically by birth African American. She is our daughter by birth. And that’s the way it is.”

Doubling down on her claims of being Black, she told NBC Nightly News that her parents may not have even been her true biological parents. She instead insisted that a Black man named Albert Wilkerson was her possible father, despite him denying the claims. At the time, she said, “Up to this point, I know who raised me. I haven’t had a DNA test. There’s been no biological proof that Larry and Ruthanne are my biological parents.”

She also said that despite her birth certificate claiming Larry and Ruthanne were her parents, she was completely doubtful about that. She said, “I’m not necessarily saying that I can prove they’re not but I don’t know that I can actually prove they are. I mean, the birth certificate was issued a month and a half after I’m born. Certainly, there were no medical witnesses to my birth. It was in the woods.”

Since going viral for lying about her racial background and losing her job as an NAACP official, Nkechi Diallo changed her name and profession (becoming a teacher and OnlyFans model), and in February 2024 she was fired from her teaching job at Sunrise Drive Elementary School in Tucson, Arizona. It was said that the administrators at the school district where Diallo works as a teacher had found her OnlyFans account.
