Taylor Swift Trends As She Can Now Legally Re-Record Old Music
Taylor Swift, 30, is currently trending on Twitter as she can now legally re-record her old music. This comes after a year’s worth of feuding with music manager Scooter Braun, 39, who bought the master recordings of her first six albums, plus her former label, Big Machine Records in 2019.
After Braun’s acquisition, he banned her from performing songs from her back catalog, which he owned, until November 2020; meaning, Swift is now able to bring joy to fans with re-recordings of her old music.

While Braun has previously called the feud a “miscommunication,” and claimed that he and his family have received death threats from Swift’s army of fans, another Swift nemesis Kanye West, promised to “personally see to it that Taylor Swift gets her masters back,” as of last month. The 43-year-old rapper added in all caps, “SCOOTER IS A CLOSE FAMILY FRIEND.” #Socialites, thoughts?
Wholly, Braun said, “Since your public statement last week there have been numerous death threats directed at my family. This morning I spoke out publicly for the first time saying I wouldn’t participate in a social media war. However I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children as well as other threats seen above.”
