Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who tragically lost her life in a mass shooting at a parade celebrating the Super Bowl-winning football team, Kansas City Chiefs.

Swift, whose boyfriend Travis Kelce plays for the team, made two generous donations of $50,000 each to provide vital financial support to Lopez-Galvan’s family during this unimaginable tragedy.

As we previously reported, the horrific shooting incident took place during the parade, leaving 21 others injured, with many of them being under the age of 16 and sustaining life-threatening injuries. The University Hospital in Kansas City, one of the three hospitals receiving patients, reported that of the eight patients they received, three were discharged, one was in stable condition, and two were in critical condition but showing signs of improvement.

More On The Possible Motive Behind the Shooting:

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves stated on Thursday that the shooting had no connection to terrorism or homegrown violent extremism. She further clarified that the incident did not target the parade itself but appeared to be a dispute between several individuals that escalated into gunfire. Three individuals have been arrested, and two teenage children remain in custody.

Taylor Swift’s representative confirmed that the donations were indeed genuine. In her message accompanying the donations, Swift expressed her deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, acknowledging the devastating loss they are facing. This act of kindness demonstrates Swift’s compassion and support for her boyfriend’s team and the community affected by this tragedy.

According to Lopez’s GoFundMe, which was setup by her family, will help provide financial support for them:

“This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan,” reads the GoFundMe page’s text. “Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs’ Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed. She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life. This fund will help provide vital financial support to her family as they process this unthinkable tragedy. Any amount is appreciated.”

Swift’s boyfriend has since spoken out on the deadly shooting. He said in a tweet earlier this week: ““I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me,” Kelce said.
