Clips from the show “Marriage Boot Camp” recently went viral after it showed rapper Vado putting hands on his girlfriend Tahiry Jose. In one video, you can see the moment Vado seemingly chokes Tahiry up by the collar after getting heated during a conversation. Vado later apologized for his “mistake” but instantly faced backlash for his poor actions. Fans were also quick to come to Tahiry’s defense and sent her prayers along with encouraging words.

However, things took a slight turn once fans got to see how it all went down. After the full episode aired, the second clip circulated online showing Tahiry throwing two apples directly at his head, which infuriated him. Many viewers believe that Tahiry should take accountability for her actions as well. Ex-reality star Tami Roman also feels that way and shared exactly how she felt about the incident on her “Bonnet Chronicles” podcast featuring her husband Reggie. Tami said: “Don’t think that I am condoning domestic violence, because I am not. I am a survivor of DV but I also feel like people need to take accountability in those situations,” she started off saying. “If you are a female that puts your hands on a man first, you can not count on the fact that he has been raise to not hit your a** back. And if he does hit you back, God forbid, to me I feel like that’s a fight.”

Before going on, Tami made it clear once again that she still does not condone a man putting hands on a woman but adds, “True domestic violence survivors I understand you you are. I understand what you represent. I send prayers up for you. If you initiate some shit, you gonna get what you get and that’s unfortunate.”

Tahiry has caught wind of some of the comments and recently made a post about the incident. She wrote on Instagram: “I’ve definitely been reading through all of your comments, thoughts, and opinions on what happened during last weeks episode. A lot of people feel a lot of different ways, and I understand that. I’ve spent this time gathering my thoughts so that when I do speak on it very soon I can do so from a place of healing, and not emotions. THANK YOU to everybody that’s been sending me so much love! I truly appreciate it!”
