Following last month’s surprise announcement that Tia Mowry and her husband Cory Hardrict were divorcing after 14 years of marriage, Tamera Mowry-Housley says her sister has been the happiest she’s been in a very long time. The remark would strongly imply that there may have been cracks in the relationship for quite some time — long before the ex-couple’s divorce filing in early October.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the former talk show host and actress explained, “I told her, I said, ‘Tia, I’m looking on your Instagram, this is the happiest you’ve been in a long time. You are glowing! You look different, but In a very positive way!’” Tamera believes the reason why her sister appears to be the happiest she’s been in a long time is because she’s started living her life in its most authentic form — her “true self.”

“And I think that is what everyone should do. And it’s not easy! That’s the thing, it’s scary.” Fans were devastated by the news of Tia and Cory’s split, after having tied the knot back in 2008. During their marriage, the pair went on to welcome two children, Cairo and Cree, who the pair are believed to share joint custody over.
“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different,” Tia shared in her statement at the time. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children.”
“I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”

Tia herself has kept a relatively low profile since going her separate ways with Cory, though fans seem to believe something must have transpired in the relationship for the ex-couple to suddenly decide to end their marriage.
With Tamera making comments such as her sister being the happiest she’s been in a while, it would strongly suggest that the romance with Cory was weighing heavy on her emotionally and mentally.
