In a statement posted Tuesday on the network’s official Instagram account, WEtv explained that they’re going to move the premiere back to early September, “given the current situation.” “Tamar Braxton has been an incredibly important member of the WE tv family for more than a decade, and our first concern is for her recovery and well-being,” read the WE tv statement. “Given the current situation, we are postponing the premiere of ‘Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life!’ until September 10.”
The statement also said,
“This series was conceived by Tamar and is a real portrait of a dynamic woman juggling the demands of being a single mother, a new relationship, and her career. We know, when the time is right, Tamar’s fans will relate to seeing this honest portrait of her life, but – at this moment – we are joining with her fans and sending strength and healing in the hope that she is getting the support and help she needs at this difficult time.”
As we previously reported, Braxton, 43 was taken to a hospital on July 16, after LAPD responded to an emergency call from the Ritz-Carlton Residences in downtown Los Angeles. Her boyfriend David Adefeso said she had been taking medicine for depression and had also been drinking at the time. The incident was labeled a suicide attempt as Adefeso said that she left a note.

According to IBM, the show’s description states that “Tamar Braxton is back to turn her life around in a revealing docu-series. With her new boo by her side, Tamar shares her truth and fights against demons determined to bring her down as she relaunches her career and reconciles with family.”
