Tamar Braxton’s Fiancé JR Claims Todd Tucker Was ‘Embarrassed’ & ‘Apologetic’ When He Checked Him Over Threat Claims, Despite Kandi Burruss Denying Anything Happened
While Kandi now denies her husband ever threatening Tamar, JR opposes and says when he checked Todd over Tamar’s claim, he was “embarrassed” and “apologetic.”
All day today, Tamar and Kandi have been trending over the incident — which dates back to December 2022, when Tamar initially hopped on her Instagram Story claiming that a peach-holder and their husband threatened her.
At the time, Tamar hadn’t revealed the mystery couple, but this past weekend, during an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ Tamar confirmed it was Kandi and Todd who allegedly threatened her exactly three months back.
Since the viral appearance, Tamar has fired off posts on both Instagram and Twitter, and eventually Kandi addressed the situation.

While hosting an Amazon Live session, Kandi said, “The only thing I’ll say right now is simply that, that’s not true. My husband never said nothing to her. He did not threaten her or none of that. So, that’s why I didn’t want to address that on Amazon Live. But, she and I did have words. But, he did? I was like, yeah, some people like to twist things a little bit.”
Breaking his silence today, Tamar’s fiancé JR took to his Instagram Story and fired off, “FOR THE RECORD, YES I DID HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH TODD ABOUT WHAT HE SAID TO @TAMARBRAXTON – HE IMMEDIATELY SEEMED EMBARRASSED ABOUT IT, APOLOGIZED AND WANTED TO MAKE AMENDS FOR SAYING “YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS.”
HE TRIED TO RATIONALIZE WHY HE SAID IT, BUT I STOPPED HIM AND SAID IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED. I THEN ASKED HIM TO CLEAR IT UP WITH TAMAR AND APOLOGIZE IN PERSON.”
