Tamar Braxton has reportedly been rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after being found unresponsive in her hotel room.
Braxton, 43, was with her boyfriend David Adefeso at the Ritz Carlton in downtown L.A. when he discovered that she was “unresponsive.” He dialed 911 and told them that Tamar had consumed alcohol accompanied by prescription pills. Per The Blast, emergency personnel took her to the hospital.
Sources close to the incident say that David believes that it was potential suicide attempt. In addition the LAPD also confirmed that they got a call at 9:45pm, reporting that a 43-year-old woman was suffering from a medical emergency classified as a “possible overdose.” Tamar’s condition is currently unknown.
Tamar and David were schedule to do their live YouTube “Coupled & Quarantined” which was scheduled to air tonight. However, a message was posted to the page instead,
“Hello Ya’ll Unfortunately, Your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today’s show (Don’t worry it’s not Covid) We’re sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week’s show is going to be even bigger and better. so sorry for, the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. we’ll make it up to you next week.”
A rep for Tamar also spoke with The Blast on Tamar’s condition prior to the incident,
“Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day — more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.”
