Taliban Executes Pregnant Police Officer In Front Of Family

The family of a pregnant former police officer were forced to watch in horror as she was allegedly executed by the Taliban.

BBC News reports that the woman, identified as Banu Negar, was killed in front her family outside of their home in the city of Firozkah.

The Taliban claim they were not involved, but witnesses note otherwise to the BBC.

“We are aware of the incident and I am confirming that the Taliban have not killed her, our investigation is ongoing,” spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed.

The BBC confirms that three sources provided evidence that the heavily pregnant woman was murdered by the Taliban. They were given images that showed “blood spattered on a wall in the corner of a room and a body, the face heavily disfigured,” of a woman.

A former US Army Ranger told the BBC that the Taliban had started executing allies of the US in public,

“They are not doing really bad stuff in Kabul right now because there’s a lot of media focus on Kabul, but they already started public execution in other provinces where a lot of media is not available or covering it,” the interpreter said.
