The Houston Police Department has said they are sure they’ll find the person responsible for the death of TakeOff as they ask for people to come forward if they have further information concerning this morning’s tragic events.

The Migos rapper, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was gunned down in the early hours on Tuesday at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston following what reports say was a heated dispute during a dice game. HPD Chief Troy Finner has since spoken in a press conference, assuring that this case will be solved and the shooter will be captured.

“Anyone who has information on the shooter, let us bring justice to this family,” he added. Finner also ruled out the possibility that the shooting was connected to any possible gang ties Takeoff may have had, saying, “We have no reason to believe he was involved in anything criminal at the time.”

“Someone knows exactly who it was and I feel confident in it.”

As we first reported earlier today, Takeoff was gunned down following a heated altercation that was alleged to have stemmed from a dice game just moments prior. From what sources have gathered, Quavo engaged in the quarrel, with Takeoff standing close by his side when a scuffle erupted and multiple gunshots were heard.

TMZ has since obtained video footage of the tragic situation, which appears to confirm earlier claims that the lead-up to gunshots being fired did start over some sort of row.

Dozens of celebrities have since taken to Instagram to pay their respect and send their condolences to Takeoff’s family, including  Monica, who wrote on her IG Story, “My family & I send our deepest condolences & prayers to the family. They’re all so close & loved each other so deeply ….. You’re Forever Loved Takeoff.”

Fellow Migos members Quavo and Offset have not publicly addressed Takeoff’s passing, and understandably so.

Houston police say they will continue to investigate surveillance footage along with any other information people are sending their way, hoping that somebody will come forward to do the right thing and help bring justice to a tragic situation that’s taken the life of the 28-year-old Georgia native.
