T.J. Holmes and his escapades continue to unravel as he reportedly had an affair with a former ABC intern after she sought him as a mentor.

Then-24-year-old Jasmin Pettaway, joined ABC as an intern in 2014, and according to a source, the affair took place in 2015, while Holmes was still married to his estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig, for five years, as reported by the Daily Mail. According to a source, Pettaway’s internship was her first real job in the industry, and she sought Holmes out as a mentor. Furthermore, the script coordinator felt uneasy around him after their work relationship became sexual, and they had sex in his office once because they worked the same shifts.
‘He was a predator who took full advantage of his position, and he was reckless. It was Jasmin’s first real job in television, and it was a big deal for her. She was looking for a mentor and she reached out to several people. , but he absolutely abused the position of trust,’ the source explained.

The close source also said they were unsure when the affair exactly started but noted Holmes called Pettaway into his office when he was drinking liquor. There were other occasions when the pair would drink together and Holmes was reportedly “handsy” with the young woman.
‘They had xes and I know she was confused afterwards as to what it meant. That kind of “Did that just really happen?” feeling. I mean that’s pretty risky behavior on his part.’
Although the affair didn’t last long, Pettaway went on to become a segment producer for ‘Good Morning America’ in New York for the next two years but decided to move back home to Cleveland in late 2016 where she worked for a local affiliate. Pettaway revealed in a 2021 interview with Voyage Ohio that ABC’s work environment was very toxic and it damaged her self esteem. Currently, she is a casting producer for ITV America and married.
The outlet also reported that Pettaway is not the only woman that Holmes has approached in the workplace as another intern said he stressed her out due to his unwanted advances.

However, they plan to file a lawsuit against ABC after the network reportedly left them in the dark about their future with the company. Holmes hired attorney Eric George and they are planning to argue if racism played a role if they are fired from the company.
