Reports have been surfacing online stating that T.I and his wife Tiny are reportedly seeking $165k from their ex friend Sabrina Peterson after majority of her defamation case was allegedly thrown out.
Well we actually got a chance to speak with Peterson personally and she shed some light on the situation and let it be known what was actually removed from her case! “I’m suing for defamation the judge granted me count 1 of defamation and count 3 of false light invasion of privacy,” Peterson shared. “I’m suing for defamation and I’m going to court for defamation. What was removed was counts that WAS NOT DEFAMATION. I won what I was asking for! This attorney’s fee ASK will BE LESS than what I’m awarded in court if the judge rules on my behalf. One more plot to play on the ignorance of their fans. All 7 counts are going forward on Shekinah!” She concluded.
As we previously reported, back in March 2021 Sabrina sued the couple for defamation. She alleged that the couple attempted to drag her name through the mud and ruin her reputation. As we all know the trio were once friends but then cut ties with each other after Sabrina claimed T.I pulled a gun out and pointed it towards her head and threatened to kill her. Sabrina previously claimed that the incident took place when she allegedly got into an argument with the rappers assistant and T.I allegedly told her, “B—- I’ll kill you.” After revealing that information that’s when all hell broke loose on the internet.
Sabrina said after she accused T.I. of the threat, his wife took to social media to post a photo of Sabrina’s 8-year-old son. The caption of the post read, “Hold up …. So you want your abuser to train your son … now when did you say my husband assaulted you? Did you change your mind or change it back? What’s up wit you today Pooh? I’m confused. Stop harassing my family. You strange. Everybody know you been special. Please Get help.”
In her lawsuit, she claimed the two had continued to harass her with social media posts. She sued demanding damages for the alleged defamation. T.I fought back against her claims and majority of her lawsuit was tossed out so now T.I and Tiny are reportedly seeking a hefty amount of money in newly filed documents that were filed by the news outlet.
“The Harrises’ request for $164,650.56 in attorneys’ fees and costs is reasonable and in line with fee awards regularly affirmed in this district. Given the complexity of the legal issues, the time necessary to adjudicate Peterson’s seven causes of action over a two-year period, and the additional costs of appeal, the amount requested should be awarded in full,” the couple’s lawyer allegedly wrote.
A judge has not made a decision yet in regards to the new filing and the case remains ongoing.
