Swae Lee Speaks On Half-Brother Facing Murder For Allegedly Killing Step-Father

Back in January, we shared that Rae Sremmurd‘s step-father Floyd Sullivan was shot dead and that their half-brother Michael Sullivan — who reportedly suffers from Schizoaffective disorder and was off his meds prior to the shooting — was facing first-degree murder for the alleged killing. Now, Swae Lee (1/2 of the group) is speaking out.

While Swae and his brother Slim Jxmmi haven’t spoken much on it, Swae opens up in a new episode of his Snapchat show, ‘Swae Meets World. He says, “Everybody struggled in 2020, but it wasn’t just the pandemic for me. It was more than that. My dad, my pops passed away recently.  have three brothers, [and] allegedly the police say my youngest brother… He shot my dad, like, killed my dad. And it’s like, my brother killed my dad. That sh*t is like unbelievable like you can’t even imagine. It’s like something out of a movie, you know. I’m still dealing with it like I don’t even know how to deal with it all the way completely.”

Swae goes on to call the death of his father “traumatic,” adding, “You can’t bring nobody back, so it’s like… It’s just so different.” He explains that his father’s death has even impacted his focus with his music, which prompted him to visit his grave in Mississippi. He adds, “Shout out pops, man. He left a whole lot of legacy.”
