Suspect In Shooting Of Federal Judge’s Son And Husband Has Died

Earlier today we reported that the son of New Jersey federal judge, Esther Salas has died after being shot to death in their New Jersey home. The shooting occurred on Sunday afternoon after a gunmen shot Judge Esther Salas’ husband and their 20-year-old son at their North Brunswick home around 5 p.m.

Per CNN, the suspect has reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to two law enforcement sources. The suspect was an NYC attorney and was found in Sullivan County, New York.

 The judge’s son, Daniel Anderl is believed to have opened the door with his father standing behind him. The pair were met by multiple gunshots, and Daniel sadly passed away. Mark Anderl was also wounded but is recovering.
The man also appeared to be wearing a FedEx uniform during the fatal incident. The company spoke out following reports,
“We are aware of the media reports and are fully cooperating with investigating authorities,” Jonathan Lyons, a rep for FedEx said.
The judge had no known threats against her, and the motive is currently unknown.
