Super Producer Mally Mall Sentenced To 33 Months In Prison For Prostitution Ring
After pleading guilty in 2019 to running a prostitution ring in Las Vegas, Nevada, Hip-Hop super producer Mally Mall has been sentenced to 33 months in prison, plus three years supervised release. Aside from being on ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood,’ Mally has worked with Tyga, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, Usher and Drake, etc.
In a federal court in 2019, it was revealed that Mally, real name Jamal Rashid, was running the escort services for more than a decade (April 2002 through September 2014) and disguised the activities under several other businesses he set up in Nevada. In 2014, while being investigated for alleged human trafficking, the feds raided Rashid’s Las Vegas home and one of his places of business. The raid was sparked after the FBI found that he “persuaded, induced, enticed and caused” hundreds of women to engage in prostitution across state lines.

Authorities say Rashid earned millions of dollars through the illegal businesses, used personal credit cards for travel expenses. It’s reported that he employed women as “independent contractors” who paid his business half of what they earned or hired them as “priority girls” who gave every dollar earned to Rashid (ie: $100 profit from a $1,000-$10,000 fee). On Thursday (May 13), it’s reported that Rashid was sentenced in a federal court to 33 months in prison for owning and operating a prostitution business. Upon sentencing, Rashid said, “I respectfully ask you to accept the fact that since 2014, I have not engaged in any criminal activity. I truly apologize to the court, the government and, most importantly, the women involved.”
