Stormy Daniels Ordered To Pay Donald Trump $300,000 After Court Rejects Defamation Case Appeal: ‘I Will Go To Jail Before I Pay A Penny’

Former porn star Stormy Daniels has to cough up a whole bunch of money to Donald Trump after a federal court ordered her to pay him $300,000 in attorney fees after it rejected her appeal.

The ruling by the US Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit followed an earlier ruling by a lower court that rejected Daniels’ defamation suit against Trump after he refuted her claims that they had sex in 2006.

Following the unfortunate news, Daniels tweeted: “I will go to jail before I pay a penny.” Meanwhile, Trump is ecstatic over the ruling. In a statement issued Monday night to CBS News, he called it “a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me.” He added, “The lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have started, or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal,” Trump said. “Now all I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me.”

The amount Daniels owes Trump in the case is about the same amount she was swindled out of by his former lawyer, Michael Avenatti.
Avenatti was convicted in Manhattan federal court last month of defrauding her out of money she was owed in a book deal to write about her experience with Trump. He will be back in court for sentencing on June 2.
