Steve Harvey is addressing his latest viral tweet from his account that made rounds on social media!
A few days ago, a tweet came from the comedians Twitter account that read: “a comedian you don’t find funny at all?” Some people responded to the tweet a named a few comedians that they felt like weren’t actually funny while some people looked at the tweet as the legendary comedian was throwing shots at some of the upcoming comedians who are making noice right now. Some twitter users also felt like his account might’ve been hacked because they didn’t think that he would tweet something like that. Well, Harvey actually made a video and addressed the backlash and let it be known that someone on his staff actually sent the tweet from his account and told his fans he would never ask something like that.
While fishing Harvey spoke out about the viral tweet and said, “why would I do something like that?” He questioned. “That don’t even make no damn sense. My whole brand is to be motivational and ima turn around and say something like that. You don’t know where these young people at in they career man they could be coming up or anything. I’m all about positivity I would’ve never done anything like that I’m so pissed off right now. Talking about I was trying to get some engagement, now I got to get some employment too. My bad y’all, now I got to come on here and do a damn selfie so here it is I’m sorry. My bad y’all won’t happen again though,” he concluded.
Comedians in the game didn’t address his tweet publicly except for one person. Comedian, Jess Hilarious spoke about Harvery’s tweet while guest hosting on ‘The Breakfast Club’ and shared her thoughts on the backlash. “Hopefully he was hacked… was this appropriate etiquette for an original King Of Comedy? Or am I tripping? Maybe it’s me but that s—t made me side eye him for a second!”
“This don’t seem like Steve Harvey behavior,” she added. “Even with ‘Family Feud,’ I still don’t feel like this was a good question. Because like, in today’s world right now where everything is already negative on social media, like, any and everything, by our own people, I’ma say that, um for you to post something like that, is clownin’.”
Charlemagne Tha God also suggested that the post seemed out of character for Harvey and wondered if he’d recently seen a “horrible” comedian. “I highly doubt he tweeted it.”
#Socialites do you really think the OG would put a tweet out there asking such a question?
