The Starbucks facility was officially closed last week in Gloucester Township after officials were told about the case. After the investigation, it was found that there was no evidence of food safety protocols being compromised as reported by MSN. Close contacts of the employee were also contacted by health officials.

“Our highest priority is ensuring everyone involved remains safe and healthy. The patient is not currently working, and close contacts have been identified. We encourage anyone who may believe they were exposed to get vaccinated against hepatitis A by calling the county health department or your primary care physician,” said Camden County Health Officer Paschal Nwako in a statement.

Free Hepatitis A shots were also offered by health officials over the weekend. Starbucks also released a statement regarding public health care.

“We’re working closely with Camden County Health Department and are fully in compliance with all requirements. There is no evidence that any customers or partners were affected.”
