A member of Vice President Mike Pence’s administration has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a report by CNN, the news was confirmed Friday by White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. A senior administration official said the member was in contact with six people who were scheduled to fly with Pence to Iowa but were removed before takeoff, causing an hour-delay for the trip. The vice president traveled to Des Moines to be involved in a discussion with religious leaders on strategies for social gatherings.
