NBA legend Allen Iverson received his flowers today from the Philadelphia 76ers after they unveiled a statue in his honor that has raised mixed reviews from social media users for being too small.
Photos and videos of the unveiling quickly surfaced on social media and Iverson became the No. 1 trending topic on X, which was formerly known as Twitter. Iverson was the 10th great 76er to receive a statue and everyone else that has been honored with him has the same size statue but of course the internet went into the frenzy to defend the NBA legend.
Sports analyst, Emmanuel Acho also hopped on his X account to express his frustration with the statue.

Allen Iverson is a name that will forever be synonymous with success in the NBA. The former Philadelphia 76ers point guard was not only a prolific scorer, but also a game-changer who revolutionized the way the game was played.
Iverson burst onto the scene in 1996 when he was selected as the first overall pick in the NBA Draft by the 76ers. His rookie season was nothing short of spectacular, as he averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game, earning him the Rookie of the Year award. He quickly became one of the most electrifying players in the league, known for his lightning-quick speed, crossover dribble, and fearless driving to the basket.

But it was not just Iverson’s on-court skills that made him successful. His passion, determination, and work ethic also played a crucial role in his rise to stardom. Despite his small stature (standing at just 6 feet tall), Iverson never backed down from a challenge and always played with a chip on his shoulder. He was known for his relentless competitiveness and willingness to put the team on his back when the game was on the line.
Despite the social media jokes behind the statue this is a huge accomplishment for Allen Iverson!
