Spike Lee Slams Knicks Owner For Harassment, Done Watching Games
While attempting to watch his favorite team play at Madison Square Garden (MSG) last night (Mar 2), legendary director Spike Lee was denied entry, and now he’s slamming the Knicks owner over harassment.
Footage surfaced of the super fan being held up after entering the employee’s entrance — which he’s used for 28 years — leading to him shouting, “No one told me… I’m staying here… If you want to arrest me like me Charles Oakley, go ahead.”

Further explaining the situation on ESPN’s First Take, Lee shares that Knicks owner James Dolan reportedly changed the policy on how he enters, which led to security asking him to leave the building, just before Dolan came over himself, asking to talk to him. Lee says, “I’m being harassed by James Dolan. I don’t know why.”
Lee continues, “I wasn’t shaking hands. In fact, when he came over to me I didn’t get up right away, I was just sitting in my seat. I said, ‘Mr. Dolan, I’ve been coming for 28 years. Why wasn’t I notified? By email, text, phone.’ He says, ‘now you know.’ Now you know?! It’s too late!!!'”

The 62-year-old, fearful of never seeing the team win a title, which they haven’t won since the 70’s, he now says, “I’m coming back next year, but I’m done for the season. I’m done.”
Following Lee’s viral blasting, the Knicks issued a statement, claiming Lee is creating a “false controversy to perpetuate drama.”
