‘Spider-Man’ producer Amy Pascal told Zendaya and Tom Holland not to date each other when they were first cast for the film series.

Pascal said she spoke to the two actors separated after casting them in their respective roles and told them to keep their relationship strictly “platonic.” During an interview with the New York Times, she said, ‘I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture. Don’t go there — just don’t. Try not to.’ However, she said a similar situation happened with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

The couple, both aged 25, made their red carpet debut for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ days before the movie was released in theatres on Friday in the United States and the United Kingdom.
