Socialites, let’s continue to keep Spice in our prayers! On Wednesday, rumors were floating around social media that the dancehall artist was in a coma following surgery complications, which her booking agent has since denied. An update provided by Its Ken Barbie asserts that Spice did endure a procedure that seemingly went wrong, after being turned away from a previous doctor who recommended her not to go ahead with the cosmetic work she’s alleged to have done.
The entertainment news outlet cites an Instagram post by Beauty and the Surgeon, who claim Spice underwent the procedure out in the Dominican Republic following conversations with Dr. Marcos Soto, her previous surgeon, who was against the idea of him performing additional work on her. It’s unclear what cosmetic work Spice wanted done, but from what’s been gathered, she was advised not to move forward with it.

“He felt she did not need further surgery done. Unfortunately, she went to a less experienced alleged surgeon which we see many do in this situation,” the post claimed. The surgery was said to have led to complications, leading to a “severe case,” with Spice’s current condition still remaining unknown at this time. “She did not learn about this surgeon on her own, she was misguided and you could be to. He’s not on my trusted list of surgeons that I recommend to my client, please be careful ladies.”
As previously mentioned, rumors were swirling that Spice was in a coma following the procedure, which a booking agent told The Shade Room was not actually the case. While the person, who is believed to be working directly with Spice, did not actually disclose how she was doing, they confirmed that the Jamaican dancehall hitmaker was not in a coma and clearly wanted to lay that story to rest.
I feel so bad for spice but a woman with that kind of money should never go to DR for plastic surgery when she can afford doctors in the US that won’t risk certain things for the money

Spice’s team have yet to issue an update on the situation, but it’s said that her condition is considered to be “severe.” The 40-year-old mother of two first gained recognition after her collaboration with Vybz Kartel on the track “Romping Shop” in 2009.
After signing her record deal with VP Records, she went on to release her debut EP, “So Mi Like It,” which featured the single of the same title that’s since amassed over 105 million views on YouTube. Spice is regarded as one of the biggest dancehall artists of her time, and we will continue to keep her in our prayers.
