Soulja Boy did not hold back during his interview with The Breakfast Club. Not only did the Atlanta emcee give himself the title, but he also took responsibility, at least partially, for the success of Drake and Migos.

Soulja told listeners on the radio,

“Stop playin’ with me like I ain’t teach Drake everything he knows. Y’all ain’t heard Drake on his first song ‘Miss Me’ … That’s Soulja! That’s my bar! He copied my whole f–kin’ flow!”

Soulja then went on and took credit for discovering the Migos after they both recorded songs over the same Zaytoven beat: Soulja’s “Teach Me How to Swag Part II” and the Atlanta trio’s 2013 breakthrough, “Versace.”

“I called them n—as and I was like, ‘Yo n—a that’s my beat. What’s up with Y’all n—as,’” he explained. “‘Oh, my bad, bruh, you know how Zaytoven do. He sends every rapper in the game the same beat.’ And I was like, ‘Okay, you know what? We got to make some music together.’ We got cool off that. That was 2012, n—a. I knew the Migos before Drake did.”

Soulja went on to explain why he feels that he is the “Godfather of rap,” Soulja said,

“It’s facts. It sounds crazy. When people sit back and listen, they be like, ‘Yo, this n—a crazy.’ No! I’m just that n—a and them just facts. It sounds so unbelievable that I done did it, but I really done did it.”

His loyal fans went and dug up old clips from back in the day to prove that Soulja boy actually paved the way for some of these artists.

In addition to that, he also shared his thoughts on Kanye West. He said,

“Real street n—as and young kids like me, the younger generation, we lookin’ at you like you goofy, bruh,” he said. “You up here supportin’ Trump and s–t, bruh? What the f–k wrong with you, bruh? That s–t not right, bruh. … My folks went through too much s–t for you to be out here doing this goofy s–t. … You gotta put on for the black community, bruh. This s–t not right.”
