Sophia Allison who recently explained why she “walked away” from directing Lizzo’s documentary made another post directed towards the singer.

In her second post about Lizzo she explained how she runs a toxic environment. “Since I’ve spoken out, I’ve had others privately share their very similar experiences, and I have also been affirmed by people who witnessed what I went through.” She shared on her Instagram story.  “Lizzo creates an extremely toxic and hostile environment and undermines the work, labor, and authority of other black and brown woman in the process. (Notice how the documentary ended up being directed by a cis white man.)”

She continued, “She’s a narcissistic bully and has built her brands off of lies. I was excited to support and protect a black woman through the documentary process but quickly learned her image and message was a curated facade. I stand with the dancers and anyone who has had similar experiences working with her and her team. These working conditions are not ok.”

As we previously reported, Lizzo is being sued by three of her former backup dancers who accused the artist of sexual harassment and weight-shaming. Allison claims she spent two weeks with Lizzo and couldn’t take it anymore. “In 2019, I traveled a bit with Lizzo to be the director of her documentary. I walked away after 2 weeks. I was treated with such disrespect by her,” Allison wrote. “I witnessed how arrogant, self-centered, and unkind she is,” she said. “I was not protected and thrown into a sh*tty situation with little support. My spirit said to run as fast as you f*cking can and I’m so grateful I trusted my gut.”

Charlene Sanchez who is another person that was allegedly apart of this documentary claims that Allison’s comments were all true. “I was apart of this documentary with Sophia this is all true. I had to vent to so many of my friends about it. It was such a small crew and the experience of working with Lizzo was a nightmare.” She said.

The three dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, sparked some shocking news with the information they revealed! One of the dancers claims Lizzo would speak badly about her weight gain and even fired her because she was recording on her phone during a meeting. Another person says Lizzo would falsely accuse the dancers of drinking on the job. Then one of the more shocking details includes one of the dancers alleging the singer pressured them to touch “nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.”

“BGBT management treated the Black members of the dance team differently than other members. BGBT’s management team consisted almost entirely of white Europeans who often accused the Black members of the dance team of being lazy, unprofessional, and having bad attitudes,” the plaintiffs write in the lawsuit. “Not only do these words ring familiar as tropes used to disparage and discourage Black women from advocating for themselves, but the same accusations were not levied against dancers who are not Black.”
