Sony Ends Spider-Man Partnership With Marvel Studios After Standoff With Disney

Subsequent to splitting with Disney over studio financing disagreements, Sony Pictures is set to pull Spider-Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney previously asked that future Spidey films have a 50/50 co-financing arrangement between the studios; but Sony refused, instead requesting to keep their current 5% of first dollar gross arrangement.

While Disney refused, there are two more films with Tom Holland reportedly still planned. Details surrounding have yet to surface.
