STL Today reports James Timothy Norman,41, was arrested earlier today for his nephew’s murder, a week after he was charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce in the commission of a murder-for-hire. Andrew Montgomery frequently appeared on his grandmother’s reality show “Welcome to Sweetie Pies” where it ran for five seasons since 2011 on OWN. The young man was fatally shot near Fairground Park on March 14, 2016.
Norman also appeared on the show and made headlines when his mother sued him for copyright infringement that same year when he claimed his operation of three Sweetie Pie’s restaurants.

Prosecutors state that Norman teamed up with a woman named Terica Ellis of Memphis, Tennessee to plan Andre’s murder. He was named the beneficiary in 2014 when Andre turned 18 and received $450,000 for his life insurance policy. Norman traveled from Los Angeles to St.Louis and was contacted by Ellis to use a temporary phone to place his nephew’s location. After the murder was done, Ellis received $9,000 in different bank accounts and Norman called the life insurance company to receive his nephew’s money.
